Sarah: It smells like mommy in here.

Sarah: Hippo's parents are still gone.
Helen: They've been gone a long time.
Sarah: That's because they went really far away.
Helen: Where did they go?

Helen: Honey, Sarah where did they go?
Sarah: Heaven.

Sarah: And now there's noone to give Hippo a birthday!
Helen: When's Hippo's birthday?
Sarah: Now.
Helen: Now?!

Sarah: [about the turtle] Can you call it Hippo?
Henry: Why do you call everything Hippo?
Sarah: Because I can spell it!

Sarah: (to herself) I can't remember how.
Helen enters the bathroom, Sarah has tears in her eyes
Helen: Sweetie!
Sarah: I don't remember how!
Helen: To tie your shoes? Here, let me help you.
Sarah: NO NO, you don't know how!
Helen: Sarah, sweetheart we have to go to school! Ok? Let me help.
Sarah: NO NO that's not how! You don't know how!
Helen: Sweetheart, are you nervous about today? I mean, it's a big day, it's school!
*Henry walks into bathroom, adjusting his tie*
Henry: Mom was teaching her how to tie her shoes just before.
Helen: Oh. Right, ok. And I guess she had a special way of doing it?

Helen: Well, your mom & I were probably taught the same way. Let me think, something about....

Sarah: ...Bunnies
Helen: Bunnies! Right! Bunny ears. You make two bunny ears. Bunny goes around the tree, into the burrow. *smiles* Pull tight!
Sarah: *smiles* Yeah, yeah!!!

Sarah Davis: I want this bed!
Henry Davis: Look, for the tenth time, in the old house, I had this bed and you had that bed.
Sarah Davis: But I want THIS bed.
Henry Davis: That's it, Hippo goes out the window!
Sarah Davis: Followed by Irwin!

Sarah Davis: Does my nose boogie look green?
Dominique: Yes, sort of Prada green, not their best collection. Put it away now.
